Preparation
Develop your home fire escape plan and practice fire drills at least once a year in your home or building.
Detection
Install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in your home or building. There should be at least one smoke detector per storey in your home and a carbon monoxide detector if applicable. It’s the law! One per storey in your home and outside sleeping areas is the law but the more you have, the better protection you will have and the quicker you will be alerted.
Did you know that almost 50% of smoke alarms in homes do not work? How about yours? Test it today, before we do!
